I recently saved the lives of two in as many days; the first one (pictured) tried to cross a pedestrian/cyclist asphalt path in strong sunlight. The second one was on a similar mission but at a different location (at first I thought it was dead) in the middle of a pedestrian/cyclist path however the latter was paved with gravel and not asphalt.

Enfärgat brun till brunsvart padda med påtagligt vårtig hud och satt kropp. Giftkörtlarna i nacken är stora och snedställda. Färgen på iris är orange till rödaktig. Pupillen är horisontell. Storlek upp till 12 cm.
