René Descartes… I’m well aware that the question is supposed to have been settled along time ago.
However, I would be forced to contest the conclusion. But what about the (so-called) circular problemas* at the core of the argument itself?
Honestly? I’m not seeing them and the ol’ dualism is still holding its ground as far as I’m concerned and you betta’ believe that! ; ).
* I cannot tell with any certainty what so ever, but I strongly suspect that my tutor, mentor and formaliser would agree to a large extent if not even fully.
Helas, I will never ever know what the professor’s exact views/thoughts are concerning the matter/question.
