RIP HK 2020-06-30 23:00 (GMT+8)

July 3rd, 2020 Comments off

Please remember this day…

The details of the law’s 66 articles were kept secret until after it was passed. It criminalises any act of:

  • secession – breaking away from the country
  • subversion – undermining the power or authority of the central government
  • terrorism – using violence or intimidation against people
  • collusion with foreign or external forces

The new law’s key provisions include that:

  • Crimes of secession, subversion, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces are punishable by a maximum sentence of life in prison
  • Damaging public transport facilities can be considered terrorism
  • Those found guilty will not be allowed to stand for public office
  • Companies can be fined if convicted under the law
  • Beijing will establish a new security office in Hong Kong, with its own law enforcement personnel – neither of which would come under the local authority’s jurisdiction
  • This office can send some cases to be tried in mainland China – but Beijing has said it will only have that power over a “tiny number” of cases
  • In addition, Hong Kong will have to establish its own national security commission to enforce the laws, with a Beijing-appointed adviser
  • Hong Kong’s chief executive will have the power to appoint judges to hear national security cases, raising fears about judicial autonomy
  • Importantly, Beijing will have power over how the law should be interpreted, not any Hong Kong judicial or policy body. If the law conflicts with any Hong Kong law, the Beijing law takes priority
  • Some trials will be heard behind closed doors.
  • People suspected of breaking the law can be wire-tapped and put under surveillance
  • Management of foreign non-governmental organisations and news agencies will be strengthened
  • The law will also apply to non-permanent residents and people “from outside [Hong Kong]… who are not permanent residents of Hong Kong”.

The law came into effect at 23:00 local time on 30 June, an hour before the 23rd anniversary of the city’s handover to China from British rule.

It is quite literally the day that Hong Kong stopped existing. 2020-06-30 23:00 (GMT+8) is not a good day/date.

Support A Free HK!

October 17th, 2019 Comments off

I always thought the “change” would be significantly more visible. I thought that I would get a clear; tangible “evidence” of the change… in my life-time. Then the time passed.

It may or not have happened, but with the decades’ passing, what more proof do I really need?

In all honestly it has already happened.

And when I see the really young, fighting for freedom of speech in Hong Kong and elsewhere; literally risking their lives for the sacred right to express themselves freely.

I feel deeply moved, humbled, hopeful and immensely proud of the younger generation!

That is…

August 31st, 2020 Comments off

HK is no more… 2020-06-30 23:00 (GMT+8)?

“- They’ll never actually do that… because they can not afford doing that.”

However, they did do exactly that on the 30th July 2020. A cautious estimation a week in was that about 600 000 were suspected of having broken the (secret) law before it was instated.

The law will also apply to non-permanent residents and people “from outside [Hong Kong]… who are not permanent residents of Hong Kong”.

Please read the book(s) and try to remember the date. Because it is: business as per usual.

A: Korean Electrical Construction Organization Kyeonggido Reginal – roughly translated according to Su Lee and Keonggido is apparently the name of a region near Seoul (the capitol of South [Sic!] Korea.

I for one, I am just loving it! It’s brilliant (my dearest son, did translate it, roughly in about 60 seconds and he is most definitely not from Korea…)!

It is the Internet? And information wants to be free. HK wants to be free.

Many, many, many thanks! : ). Now I need to fetch my phone…

Farbror Blå

November 16th, 2019 Comments off

Farbror Blå aka Uncle Blue.

That’s all good and well. However, I still got rights even though I’m just a regular citizen; an average Joe if you will.

I’m just: “- En enkel drum’n’bass kille från söder om söder.” That would be the SoSo perspective

– When can I go home plz?”

It’s just wrong. I’m sick and tired of “people” overstretching their rights whilst denying mine. And they’re rightfully mine. It all has to stop! I will never accept living in a Police state, policed by people who are not even actual police women or men?

Support a free HK Now! The Universal rights. Support freedom of speech it can be taken away at any moment. And it includes; all arts, ideas, beliefs and in the end humanity itself.

No joke business. Don’t waste it.
